What is the National Novel Writing Month

Known with affection, NaNoWriMo challenges a writer's stamina, perseverance, generosity, and sanity. Marking the 10 year anniversary, the success of NaNoWriMo is due to the sponsorship and hard work of the Office of Letters and Light headquartered in Oakland, California. What makes this a daunting challenge is the
50,ooo word goal that is written within a thirty day timespan, specifically the month of November.

National Novel Writing Month and the Office of Letters and Lights is found on the internet along with the many support groups, writing tips, and materials. These aids help guarantee success. The only things required by writers is time, determination and questionable mental health.

The international participation is remarkable. Thousands partipate from many countries in Europe, South America, Africa and many others including every state of the U.S.

NaNoWriMo is not the only program sponsored by The Office of Letters and Lights. A writing program for Young Writers is offered to children and teachers to encourage reading and writing. The Office of Letters and Lights through donations provides materials, teacher aids and rewards. More information is available through the Office of Letters and Lights. Satisfaction guaranteed.
